NYSD is the place where ideas take flight. Our school isn’t just a place to learn design; it’s a launchpad for your entrepreneurial dreams. Here, we foster innovation, empower ambition, and provide the tools and guidance you need to turn your creative visions into successful ventures.
STUDIOS AND LAB
NYSD offers an intimate setting within a historic pre-war loft, formerly a bustling garment factory. Our well-equipped studios feature industrial sewing machines, cutting tables, and dress forms providing students with the ideal space to collaborate on projects, complete assignments, and refine their craft.
Library Resources
Our library houses a collection of books dedicated to fashion design, graphic design, and art, serving as a valuable reference for our students. Enrolled NYSD students have the privilege of borrowing books on a first-come, first-served basis, with a two-week borrowing period.
Student Lounge
Since many of the classes are held in the evenings, we understand the needs of our working students and have allocated a space for students to eat and take a break. Students are encouraged to eat in the student lounge and not in the classrooms.
