From Railway to Runway: Amtrak x NYSD Collaboration
New York School of Design partnered with Amtrak to launch “Trak Suits” — a first-of-its-kind travel wear collection inspired by the style and comfort of Amtrak’s NextGen Acela fleet.
Our talented students reimagined the timeless tracksuit, taking it from railway to runway with couture and ready-to-wear designs that wowed the press and industry insiders.
This collaboration not only showcased their creativity and craftsmanship, but also highlighted the real-world opportunities that prepare NYSD students to become leaders in fashion design.

Embedded within our programs is Workplace Ethics and Professionalism training designed to equip students with an understanding of the distinctive workplace culture and expectations in the fashion industry. Our classrooms offer an immersive design studio experience, mirroring the environment found in top-tier fashion companies.
Industry Partnerships
Our industry partnerships open doors to an array of internships, placing students in fashion design houses and manufacturing entities. Our Career Seminars led by fashion luminaries at the outset of the programs guide students to chart their fashion career early.
